Dr. Faith Quenzer
Leadership at its best.
Faith Quenzer, DO
Dr. Faith Quenzer attended Western University of Health Sciences, Class of 2015 and is now a resident at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. Prior to medical school, Faith started her own mentoring program through her church. She also volunteered for the UC San Diego Student-Run Free Clinic. She knew that Emergency Medicine (EM) was her calling after shadowing an EM physician who was also a DO. In the first year of medical school, she discovered her love for emergency medicine and writing through involvement with the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM).
Faith was elected as the former Vice President of the national AAEM RSA Medical Student Council for 2 years and she currently is a Resident Representative for her residency. Additionally, she is a member of AAEM Women in EM interest group and the Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine through the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. She has helped start a female physician group in her area, Coachella Valley Women’s Physician Group which aims to garner support for female physicians. She has published for Western Journal of Emergency Medicine Clinical Practice and Cases in Emergency Medicine, American Journal of Emergency Medicine, Common Sense articles, and the quarterly newsletter for Academy for Women in EM newsletter.
Her interests within EM include Administration/Leadership, Ultrasound, Women in medicine, and Trauma Research. Faith’s goal is to make a lasting contribution to EM through organizations such as CEMRO and is excited about the mentorship and support that this group has to offer our California EM residents.
Faith is a fantastic addition to the team. She has extensive experience with organizational leadership and, just as important, has a remarkable ability to make things happen. We are all very excited to see the excellence she brings to her Southern California territory.
