Ken Johnson, MD
Dr. Ken Johnson is currently an emergency medicine resident at Riverside Community Hospital in California. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Arizona and received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a heavy engineering focus from Arizona State University.
Prior to his medical career, Ken spent 20 years as an ASE certified Master Automotive Mechanic eventually starting and managing his own auto repair shop in Arizona for 8 years before selling it to start medical school. At an early age, he developed a passion for technology and in addition to his hobby of building and repairing electronics he developed several diagnostic tools for his own auto repair shop. He hopes to do the same for the medical field and is interested in maximizing technology to improve patient care and workflow.
Ken is an inducted member of the Arnold Gold Humanism Society as well as an accomplished researcher, receiving a grant from the Valley Research Partnership for his laboratory work in medical school studying the immunological response to melanoma cancer antigens. Ken brings his strong technological background and prior leadership experience to CEMRO and, as Director of Technology, he is dedicated to helping residents harness technology to improve the overall experience for the physician-in-training and their patients.
Ken is a natural leader. He remains relationship-oriented while conquering goal after goal, task after task. He has a strong background in technology and has the long term ambitions and vision that make him the perfect Director of Technology for CEMRO.
